In connecting up with the amazing Emily this week and her take on sad stories, it made me ponder our own sad story. It's too painful to delve into just now but this piece was redemptive in the making.
MOTHER WISH
I am so
sorry
yet it wasn't me
who shattered
your thoughts
death-knelled your
dreams
If you
would but
care to
think back
take heart
begin all over
again
redeem what is
important
learn a lesson
salvage
broken promises
restore what was
good
true treasure
would be yours
happiness
would unfold
and the little angels
will thank you
one day
TK xx
Tiffany, this is heartbreaking. How lucky you are to be able to write such things.

ReplyDeletetake heart
ReplyDeletebegin all over
again
It does take heart, and us taking our heart carefully in our hands to start over after shattered dreams. Or maybe it would be better to hand my heart over to more careful hands, His, in order to start again. I don't need to know the story but you have brought a piece of beauty out of it.
